Diplomat of American Board of Internal Medicine.  Research in pulmonary and critical medicine as a hospitalist.  "I have had great experiences treating acutely ill hospitalized patients.  Practicing hospitalist medicine has posed greater diagnostic challenges and has given me the utmost satisfaction to see the patients improve during their hospital stay.  Previous experience before GOH include:  Established an outpatient practice in Albany, New York.  Hobbies and interests include:  reading, racquetball, golf, traveling and sightseeing.

Dr. Mahnaz Qayyum


Board Certified in Family Practice.  Academic interests include Hematology and Endocrinology.  Hobbies include traveling.  Previous experience before GOH:  Office physician and Hospitalist for 2 years.  Languages spoken include:  Urdu, Hindi, Punjabi, French and Spanish.

Dr. Ahmad Amawi

Board Certified in Family Practice

He graduated locally from Halifax Health Family Medicine Residency Program in Daytona Beach, Florida.  Upon completion of his residency training and Board Certification, he began to work as a Hospitalist and ER Physician for five years at Halifax Health, a level 2 trauma Center in Daytona Beach, Florida.  He is certified in Advanced Trauma Life Support and has extensive experience in working with the Critically and emergently ill.  He joined Greater Orlando Hospitalists in June 2009 and has been an integral part of Health Care team ever since.

Dr. Miguel Garcia

Internal Medicine Physician

CDr. Alba- Garcia (Changed name to Miguel M. Alba- Garcia) completed his residency program in New York with previous outpatient experience in his home country of the Dominican Republic.

 

His academic interests are Gastroenterology and Cardiology.  His hobbies include traveling and sports.  Fluent in Spanish.
